From the corporate world to entrepreneurship

My name is Dale Schaefer. I am a husband, father, grandfather and Christian who was saved by the Grace of God.  This is my blog. 

With this blog, I want to show you how the son of financially challenged, blue collar parents rose above my humble beginnings to achieve financial freedom. And so can you; no matter your personal circumstances or challenges.

I started this blog in March of 2021.  In reality, this blog was started in my mind nearly 20 years ago with my first venture into the online world. 

Back then, I was afraid to put myself out there in the public view. Instead, I started my first website with my son to sell affiliate business products without putting either one of our names on the site. I wanted to anonymously build an online business.

Today, I feel it is just as important to tell my personal story to my readers as it is to tell them about products and services I use in my business.  And by the way, that first online business made us a little bit of money, but after a year or so it was dead.

The death of that small business endeavor gave birth to a whole new world for me and my family.  We are a family of entrepreneurs and public servants making a difference in our little corner of the world.

I now teach thousands of monthly readers how to make money online, offline and through passive investments.  I show them how to start and scale their business quickly and systematically.

My journey to financial freedom and personal fulfillment has not been an easy one. Far from it.

There have been many failures, frustrations and empty bank accounts.  Just ask my wife, Debbie.  She can give you all the details.  She loves sharing the details about anything in life.

Debbie is my Rock!  She is the one who inspires me every day. She helps me to rise above every challenge.

You see, throughout my life, I have had an entrepreneurial mindset that led me to own several businesses. Some have been very successful while others beat us down financially and emotionally.

Marketing companies, wedding DJ music service, restaurant, real estate investment company, home building company and several online businesses.

Whether we were up or down, Debbie remained totally optimistic through it all. She kept me believing in myself.  She made me feel like I could conquer the world. And now I am conquering my small piece of world and helping others to do the same.

By the way, all the businesses I listed above were just side hustles for me.  My real job was managing a group of radio stations in Louisville, Kentucky.

Yes, I was a corporate guy making lots of money for large multi-million-dollar companies who did care for me or the team I had assembled.  I was paid very well by these companies, but they were sucking the life out of me and the employees working for me. I was trading my time for money but losing my soul day-by-day.

I needed out of this corporate world. Unfortunately, I needed the money they were paying me to take care of my family. We had two sons to take care of and send to college. So I did what every good husband and father does. I gutted it out for 5, 10, 15 years longer than I should have.

Finally, in 2018 after 20+ years of this spirit-crushing life, my employer did me the biggest favor possible.  They fired me!

Yes, they set me free to chase my real passions in life.  God, I wish they had done it 10 years earlier. My life would have been so much more enjoyable and fulfilling.

That’s okay, I still had a lot of life to live so I quickly put together my full-time entrepreneurial plan.
